Sometimes I get so wrapped up in all the little things, that I forget that I have a lot of control of my life. A few months ago I went to What the Heck Fest, and it was amazing. While I was there I met a lot of neat people, one of which was Ross. He co-owns bicycle records (
http://www.bicyclerecords.com/). We got to chatting about music and life and he figured out that I am a total music nerd and some how got me to admit that I've always wanted to do a label. For some stupid reason I alway felt that I couldn't pursue that because it was my high school boyfriends big dream.
So he invited me over to see the in and outs of running his label and to hang out. It was a great day. I got to know Ross and we worked on a cd cover design for the band the Next door neighbors. I left his house feeling really excited about working with him.
That was late July, and I didn't contact him until today. Im not sure why it took me so long to get in touch with him, I thought about it a lot. I'm guessing it was a mixture of my busy lifestyle but I also, I think deep down I wanted to sabotage it a little, or maybe it was just me being anxious about being around new people.
Anyways, this morning I decided that I needed to stop it. I emailed him, he called me back, and Im going over there on Wednesday.
